Agents, representives, distributors, affiliates, What's in a name?

As an independent distributor for FM perfumes I sometimes ponder on which is the best term  to use when advertising my business, what impression do I give to potential recruits particularly to those people that have never been in this kind of network marketing / MLM business before?
Maybe "independent business owner" would be a better description after all that's what I am.
I think I quite like the title "Independent business owner", because it accurately describes me and because I am associated with a brilliant network marketing company called FM cosmetics I do have an enormous amount of independence and freedom of action.
I do not believe there is any other company out there whether it be in the UK or internationally that allows so much freedom, access to so much free FM content and which allows it's distributors to be truly independent.
