Why are large corporations able to use their financial muscle to force consumers of perfumes and cosmetics to pay over the top prices for their products?
The European commission justifies this on the grounds that these corporations have spent a lot of money to develop their brands, but surely this is irrelevant.
They elected to spend that money because that is the business model they chose.
Why should companies that chose another and fairer model be punished and why should the perfume buyers lose out big time and I mean big time?
There is no earthly reason why a bottle of Chanel should cost over £100 when an equally good quality perfume can be had for less than £12.
